R-Mix

I got to try out Roland's R-Mix software and it really surprised me how good it was. It allows you to process stereo files and single out information by it's position in the stereo field and by frequency content. So if you want to get rid of the center information and just listen to the guitars for an AB comparison you can turn down what's in the selected region. It has a lot of other cool uses as-well.

I've tried it too.
Quite amazing, and so far highly underrated.
Would make a useful tool for a remixer.
One of the Roland guys was pitching it as a great educational tool.
If you were a bass player say, it both allows you to dial out the bass in a mix, so you can play along, but you can also emphasise the bass, and slow the track down so you can hear more clearly and practice a part.

I guess this is based on similar technology. Both look like they could be very useful but I haven't tried either.
