Big Transmitters and Tubes
Posted: Fri Sep 13, 2013 8:44 amA visit to WLW in Cinncinati At one time the biggest commercial AM station in the US. In 1932 they built a 500 Kilowatt(that's 1/2 a megawatt) AM transmitter. It took more than a dozen people simultaneously to operate it.

and there were 2 of them. That's one mother of an Audio amp.
