(Does a Farfisa Compact from the 60's count as a vintage synth?)

What I found interesting was the spring reverb tank. A couple of valve stages driving a ceramic gramophone cartridge, that has a wire (where the stylus should be) soldered to the springs, and another cartridge acting as pickup, with another valve stage as recovery amp. The driver transducer in mine had failed, and there was little chance of finding a replacement, so I improvised with a piezo transducer from Jaycar, and it worked a treat!
