I guess it's just a voyager with patchbay.. I say bring on a poly for god sake.

Sorry, but this only makes me even more glad to have a vintage model D.

...and if they ever do pull the trigger on a poly I hope to God they use the Taurus 3 Osc design and not the Voyager's, since they seem intent on reusing old designs.

The basic Voyager Osc sound is just plain uninteresting to my ears (and yes I have tried one in person), even the Little Phatty has bags more character IMO.

But an interesting design on the XL, I however, definitely wont be getting one

I sold mine about 6 months ago..sounded nothing like my old model D !
Looking foward to trying the LP.
That new Voyager could be the precursor for the poly...we can only hope and

Yep, go the LP Stage II I reckon, definitely my favourite modern moog keyboard (and I say *modern* moog, because as this Voyager XL has proven, they are two very different companies in aesthetic and design). Not saying that's necessary a bad thing too BTW, though why they still use great big stickers for some of their front panel legending and not silk-screen on metal like the old gear (and particularly with the prices they charge nowadays), is still beyond me. I mean I'd expect that kind of thing from the DIY community, not one of the biggest names in synth manufacturers.

If they made a tasteful looking 5 voice Poly Phatty they'd be onto a winner, I keep my fingers crossed for the future!
