Alternative to Soundcheck plaster

Postby onebaldbloke » Sun Aug 25, 2019 6:23 pm

Have had some ridiculously exy quotes to put up Soundcheck plaster (my plaster jobs always look shite).

So.......

Does anyone know of any alternatives in a kind of "lining board" format?

Currently have 5 mm/8 Kg MLV as my outside layer in the sandwich, 70 mm air gap filled with acoustic batts.

Cheers,
Bob.

I think if you want to stop noise, it's going to be expensive.

that said, I remember reading somewhere that Firecheck Plasterboard is very similar to Soundcheck, but substantially cheaper. Check the data sheets for both.

Thanks mate, but it's still Gyprock, and still a pain in the arse to mount!
