Hello!

I was wondering if there were any MC4 users on the forum?
If so, would anyone be willing to share some of their working knowledge of the machine?
I've figured out a few things, but it seems that the manual is incomplete in a few ways.

For instance, how do you 'repeat' instead of 'copying' (to save memory)

I'd be willing to pay someone for their time if they could demonstrate certain things on the machine..

I had a 4b for a while about 5 years ago.

But I'm sorry, I can't remember a damn thing about it without the manual.

Dave ( from Innerclock Systems) is the guru in Sydney.
There is a also a guy near Geelong who is expert too..but I can't remember his name ..sorry !

I totally know what you mean.. i spent a few weeks learning the machine (one command at a time), made a couple songs with it, and 2 months later, i've forgotten everything..

Just need to figure out a few things, i think it could be quick to program with the use of a cv keyboard, and clever use of the copy / paste functions..

I'll email Dave, hopefully he is willing to have a chat about the machine..

...now i just have to find a OP8m or OP8...

Yeah Harry..a cv keyboard takes half the time.

I just can't remember about copy though..I'm sure it can be done.
After a while, I started putting random numbers in to see what would come out.
I don't think I ever did one track with it ( except for a demo ).
It's not the most productive piece of gear out there..although heaps of people seem to revere it !

Far out..
Steve sold me my first synth (sampler) the then state of the art "Emu e64".
$3000 was a lot of money to a kid in 1998...

nymo, I don't suppose you could p'm his email address to me (or failing that, ask him if I could email him regarding the Mc4?) I would be eternally grateful..
