Would someone here come to my space and help set up?

I've bought a new console recently and I'm having some trouble figuring out the best most flexible way to get everything working, that I can record to both computer and tape with monitoring options and a minimal amount of moving things around. I feel like it's almost there but not quite. Would anyone in Sydney be willing to give me a hand for a small fee? All the people I know who do this stuff live in Melbourne...

David,
What brand and model of console and how many channels. How many ins/outs for your 'puter and R2R?

Hey Chris
Trident 65, 20 channels (direct outs on each), 8 bus . Echo Audiofire Interface has 12 ins/outs. Tape machine is an Otari MX5050 with 8 channels in/out. Might be upgrading to a 1" machine though with 16ch. But that's a ways away I think.

Patchbays would be the wisest option, it's something I'm playing around with at the moment as I've just re-arranged the studio........my thought is to have a bay for the Fostex sends and returns, the same for the R2R and a third (and maybe fourth) bay for the console ins and outs........add a bunch of patch leads and it may work
I use a 24 channel S/craft with a 16 trk Fostex digital and 16 trk 1" and to date have just swapped things around at the console as required.

Hi David,
If you don't get this sorted beforehand I'd be available from 26/2.
cheers

Patchbay seems to be the consensus. Might give that a go.

Al and Ian, thanks a lot for your offers to help. I should have it sorted now, got someone coming to have a look this weekend. I'll let you know how I go with it.
