I am going to get myself one and just wondering if people prefer one over the other.....
factory sound have a really good price on a 906, don't know what they are doing a 609 for....
my understanding is that the 906 is pretty much the 3 previous models in one with the flick of a switch
Just wondering peoples thoughts

Had a 609 stolen last year and replaced it with a 906 on insurance. I can't tell a huge amount of difference between the two, but then, I didn't exactly AB them. I love them, but I know a few people who really prefer a 57 over them. Horses for courses... it does what it claims and does a good job of it.

I just went and grabbed a 906 from factory sound.
Their customer service is getting really really bad.
Their conversation about sandwiches was more important today.

I find a lot of service at stores are bad, as long as you know what you want and know how to use it service seems redundant until you have a problem with the product.
I find you usually know more about the product then the sales guy and heck can he be expected to know about everything about audio? I usually ask here or other places before I commit to a purchase.
Cheers

Completely with you Dale.... The number of times I've asked a question in a store and been piped some drabble that was complete garbage... that said though, if you're walking in with your money to buy something you know you want, you'd think it was just polite for someone to serve you. I stood waiting in a Sydney store for 10 minutes recently with a set of mesh drum heads in one hand and my credit card in the other, while the guy chatted on the phone to someone about the gig he'd seen the night before. I was a metre away - I wouldn't have minded if he'd done the deal without talking to me... but to just stand there waiting... dunno.
