I read the whole article today, and it was most enjoyable and informative. it has truly opened my eyes and made me realize the truth about tubes, i hope everyone who reads it feel the same.

Yep it was a bit of an eye opener for me as well considering the only vintage tube gear I've got is a guitar amp which distorts nicely when cranked. Just gotta change the way I think about tubes now, oh and I also have to remember to say Noiman not Newman. Man that's easier said than done.
