my feeling is it may but it could just as easily sound worse,
it all depends on the imedance the mic likes to see from the tube and how rode have set it up the tubes duties in the first place
in my experience every valve mic could benifet from a little tube swapping to see what gives, i would be more inclines to swap a few cheap tubes around and see how sensitive the mic is to different tubes
if every tube swap you do is moving the tone around a bit then it will probably pay to spend some bucks on an exotic classic, if you cant tell the difference between a cheap chinese and a better new sovtec or electro harmonix ,
then it may be the mic doesnt care too much
my feeling is it wont care too much
when i used to own an original 50's akg c-12 it only sounded good on really hard to get telefunken tubes
the cheaper new tubes i tried made it sound a bit bottom light and a touch strident.

ditto to what Rick says.
$150 is a lot of money to fork out for the experiment.
If you want to play around why not get some tubes locally from Evatco
They should be able to sell you electroharmonix, JJ/Tesla and maybe NOS mullard for $25 to $30 each.
Arthur at Evatco is very helpful, give him a call and see what he has in stock
