wtb: Alesis DM Pro (BOUGHT) ... Qcard needed

Postby Matt_Gio » Fri Jul 09, 2010 6:26 pm

hey guys,
anyone got one of these with a 240V power they want to offload?

I can only find them in the states at the moment and am not too sure about how to get around the power issue? Would I need a step down transformer? Or is it easy enough to find a 230v to 9v transformer with that particular connector on it?

thanks

Matt

ok ok.. so I managed to luckily get the unit locally.. but does anyone have any of the qcards spare they would ship over. I can get them from the states but there seem much confusion over which ones would actually work AND... i wouldn't mind getting my hands on one quickly
thanks

Do they use those DIN cables for the power (Like some other Alesis stuff) , or just a normal boss style plug?

Either way, I'm pretty sure it'll be 9v AC (Note, not DC like most pedals etc)

Buy it.. worst case scenario is a step down tranny from jaycar = $40

best case scenario is you buy / make a 9v AC power supply for $0 - $30

Don't they take a standard pcmcia 8MB memory card? I looked for some when I got my DMPro but couldn't find any at a reasonable price.

yea.. thats it.
some are like $10 and then other $100

??? and of course.. the $100 say.. "only these ones will work"

gee this is a real pain.. now I've also go to figure out how to upload files to the damn card once I find one.
All the old Alesis Soundbridge software will not run on newer macs.

anyone got ways around this with the Q synths?

I think I own some Q cards.
I have a S4 plus sound module and the Alesis QS6.1.
Is any of this useful to you?
