I went through a phase recently of buying a few pieces for a job I was doing but in hindsight now it's over I just don't need them and really, it's just my ego that wants to hold on to them. I guess that sounds a little weird but my family needs the cash reserves more than it needs a sweet EQ. I don't know what's around the corner and for me to hang on to the gear is selfish.

I know what you mean, audio goodies are nice but yeah sometimes 2 grand is 2 grand that's better put elsewhere.
