Abbey Road Anthem

Steve L is clearly being too humble about this to give it it's own thread, so I'll be his pimp. B-)

I was talking about the update with the video - he'd only mentioned it in the RA book thread :)

Thanks very much guys - Abbey Road see the piece as a showtune for a Disney animation so I'm hoping through their publishing/film contacts to see it make its way to Disney (or others) for consideration. At the time it was recorded, the Abbey Road producers kept very focused on keeping it straight down the line (particularly with the female lead who had wanted to take more of a Christine Aguilera-esque pop delivery) saying "it's going to Disney.....we're doing it Disney-style". Those guys know their film music!

They kept very true to the original demo I sent in, and I'm hoping in the video pieces that they do for each of the anthems that they will upload the original demo submissions as well to hear what was submitted, and what was created from them. They had said they would do that at one point. If someone can point me to how to embed an mp3 file in the post, I'm happy to post the demo submission that got me on the podium with the others...

The singer, Anna Jane Casey, is an ex EastEnders actress who now does West End Musicals in London, so that really added to the showtune feel for my piece.

And I was talking about humbly posting it in the pre-existing thread on Steve's humble behalf. I'll now just humbly refer you to rule no.20 of the internet. :)
