Hi all,
I'm wanting to hire a GPultec in early January for a week or two.
I have some parts here to build a unit however I'd like to listen to one before I commit any more money to it...
And if anyone has a similar pultec clone I'd consider it too.
Cheers fellas,
Nath

Re: WTH Gyraf Pultec
Hey Nath. You can do this build pretty crudely for about $300. Once you've successfully completed it you'll be happy that you created a worthwhile filter to add to your rack. Maybe then you could spend the extra bucks on the aesthetic, knobs, front panel etc...
I'd give you my set but the problem is I can't stop using them for long enough.

Re: WTH Gyraf Pultec
As Ben said, this project is pretty cheap to build in the grand scheme of things and I doubt you'll be disappointed. If you can't find one to borrow, I'd encourage you to just go ahead with it!

Re: WTH Gyraf Pultec
It's not a Gyraf, but I have a Psidex PEQ-1 (http://oldworldaudio.com/gear/pultec.html).. that I'm not using at the moment.. (still getting moved in). (Sadly, I currently only have one. I'll either sell this one or buy another this year).
Tom did a great job when he built it. It sounds excellent and I even got the optional colored knobs.. (they add mojo don't ya know).
Have a look at the link and let me know. I'm in Springwood but I'm sure we could work something out.
