Thanks for the tip, I put in a mediocre bid. I've "sort of" wanted one for a while (just not enough to pay real money).

Does anyone know what the preamps in it are like?

Are they a little bit lackluster like most of Digidesign's stuff? Or are they more akin to the Avid PRE, which is actually rather clean?

I was unable to find much opinion about the pres anywhere. Sound on Sound called them "clean". Apparently the mic inputs aren't XLR, they're DB25. (http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/jun08/a ... gnc24.htm/)

If I got it cheap (highly unlikely but whatever) it would become a fancy PT controller, sitting next to the Auditronics (I'm currently using a Mackie MCU).

I always like a listing that says the item it "Used - unable to test".

Yeah, that bothered me until I noticed the same "Unable to test" description on a bicycle.

Anyway it's over $600 now, so it's already more than I'm willing to pay :)

Ha ha..... $600 for a $6000 desk, that sure is wishful thinking. :-j

I know, but I've been lucky before. Not often, but occasionally.
