Gonna stick my neck out here, coz I don't know the seller, but is the price for vintage neve gear getting beyond ridiculous?

Re: Stupid Neve price?
The seller is taking offers anyway, so it will either end up at a reasonable price or not sell.
What gets my goat is when ebayers sell a random piece of brand new equipment (like a pair of headphones or something) and list it for a few hundred times the RRP, just waiting for an accidental click or a truly misinformed punter...

Yeah exactly, he may as well put $1m and just wait for offers haha.
I dunno, eBay is annoying in general, I hate it when they ask offers on something and when it turns out they do get an offer of like 95% of what their asking they reject it only for it to not sell. I mean what's the point of that?!?
But hey it works for finding what you want. People pay a lot for vintage stuff in Aus. Plus they generally don't look after it very well, I'm seeing a disturbing trend of people asking a premium for things it utterly shite condition lately. I think someone forgot to tell them it's worth less not more if it looks like it fell off the back of a truck and rolled down a hill or two. lol
Also interesting that even the crap vintage stuff is expensive now, I guess it's trendy?

Re: Stupid Neve price?
He bought them at a high point and one would assume
If you follow standard neve logic you should be able
To make money on them
But this is the the top of the top price historically
And he has had them for sale for about 6 months
With different adds
Leave him alone would be my thoughts
Everybody else is
Current Sale price for similar ( ie same stuff ) is around 3-3.5 each and 1 -1.2 for the rack

Re: Stupid Neve price?
For what it's worth he declined an offer of 9k and another offer of 11.5k expired.
I guess "stupid Neve price" requires "stupid Neve buyer" haha

Re: Stupid Neve price?
Wow 11.5k offered.. so the asking price isn't actually too far off what people are prepared to pay!
If there's a buyer and a seller then I won't judge. Let the good times roll I say!
