FS: JLM TG500's in Avedis audio R52 rack

Postby Ben M » Sun Dec 22, 2013 8:23 am

Hi everyone

Up for sale are my two minty JLM TG500 modules housed in the Avedis audio R52 rack.

Everything is in perfect working order and excellent cosmetic condition as well.

JLM TG500 from Joe's site;
http://www.jlmaudio.com/shop/index.php? ... roductId=2
TG500 mic pre is a 2 FET 6 transistor Class A design giving 75dB of gain. It is based on early NEVE, BBC, EMI gear simple transistor gain stages fully redesigned to include heaps of extra useful features.

Avedis R52

Excellent rack power supply for 500 series modules.
One excellent feature is the "link" switch which links the 2 racked modules e.g.. link a Mic pre and compressor, link an eq and compressor, link two EQ's etc etc.

Asking $1650 for everything.

I'd take $1650 for these and the rack psu.

I've had a few inquires but nothing concrete.
I'll be popping this on ebay at the end of the week...(but it will be listed for more than here)..cheaper here for my T'rock comrades.

I own a TG500, they are a really good preamp.

I use mine mainly on Guitar amps (paired with a 57 or a good ribbon and its done) and also I really
like it on acoustic guitars.

Thoroughly agree with you Wiz. Pair your ribbon mics with these pre's for a ready made guitar sound.
I have a pair of 1084's arriving this week otherwise I'd be keeping these as they are my favourite for all guitar sounds.
Also, the impedance dial is wonderful to play around with tone.

I'm willing to split this pair of TG500's up and sell the rack separately. Send me an email or PM if you have serious offers.

Cheers

Both TG modules look to be sold pending payment.

Avedis R52 500 series rack is still available for $300.
