Studers for sale - CHEAP

Postby Linear » Wed Mar 26, 2014 4:19 pm

Hi,

I have 2 x Studer A80's and 2 x Studer B67's looking for a home ASAP.

I want to sell them all together, pickup only from Leichhardt so it's a bundle (you must take them all)

1 x Studer A80 MKIV 24 track in working condition, although power supplies (and there are 24) could do with a recap, with remote and auto locater.
1 x Studer A80 MKIII 24 track condition unknown but makes a great spares machine, comes with remote and auto locater. powers up and rolls tape (or at least it did).
1 x Studer B67 in functional condition however the MDA is acting weird and needs work. Comes in a roll around cart and is in pretty good nick.
1 x Studer B67 as a spares machine (bits missing, no stand, dirty etc).

I make no guarantees about any of these machines, it's total buyer beware and some money needs to be spent to get everything into a reliable working state.

Good news is, best offer I get over or near $3,000 takes the lot. anyone interested can email me chris (at) linear-recording.com.au (don't PM me, my inbox is full)

Cheers!

Chris

Much as I love Studers, there's no room for a pair of wide body A 80mch decks.short of me selling off a few of the fleet.
If you want to help me by buying a spare 1/4" deck ,any format, any speed from 15/16 IPS to 60 IPS let me know and help support my addiction for restoring Swiss tape machines ( and Australian broadcast consoles)
Go on you know you want one ,that warm sound of tape compression and the tactility (is that a word) of rotating mechanics,so much less impersonal than a DAW.......

So,are these still available or has someone bitten the bullet ?
If anyone wants the mkIV but not the non working machines ,then talk to me.
We may be able to take them all split them up. I'll find room in the garage for one A80 and B67s are a lot easier to store.mind you they're all buggers to fix.
And Hookemeister, stop sniggering and saying I knew he couldn't resist an A80....
