Allen and Heath GL2 mixer in custom case. $550. Pickup from Balwyn (Vic).

This is the original GL2, 10 mic channels, 2 stereo line channels, 4 groups, 6 auxes, without direct outs (although there is provision for connectors to be fitted). Not a studio desk, but it might be useful as a small monitor console for DAW stems or an effects or synth submixer if you're running out of channels on your main console.

Not sure how subsequent models are constructed but this one has channels on individual circuit boards. You can cut the ground bus, disconnect the audio buses, and pull a board out, then put it back together and it works. I've never had occasion to do this… it's been absolutely solid. I just tested it and everything works.

The sturdy case was designed by me and built by Aerolyte and predates the flimsy plastic tilt cases one can get nowadays.

The photo shows a rigged up XLR panel above the console. That was for a lamp and I'm keeping that.

Original purchase price was $2750 and the case cost more than $500... my my, how times have changed. This is the first and only console I've ever owned and I feel all sentimental, but I just don't use it any more. Please give it a good home.
