Just wondering if anyone has used one of Blue's Bluebottle mics and what the opinions are.

Cheers

Dunno Chris, but judging from the sound of my Blue Kiwi which is superb the Bluebottle is double the price so it must be a pretty damn good mic.

With all the different capsules available it would be an awesome mic to have more than likely.

That figures :-).....my uncertainty cost me the chance of one for less than $350, including shipping from the US.

Ah well, I can now convince myself that I didn't really need it anyways..........lmao.

Sure it was a bluebottle or a babybottle, about 4000us difference in mics, $350 still would be a reasonable price on a baby bottle though, not sure how they sound, but I think they retail for around $800us.

Heath,

That was my mistake, getting confused with Blue's models.....it was actually the Bluebird that the guy was selling. Musicians Friend currently have them for $299US down from a list of $699US. Has a local retail of around $1199AU............go figure.

Yeah I would'nt worry too much about the bluebird, though if you see a cheap kiwi jump on it, if it's $1200us or less.
