What can you hear??

I found this interesting. On my work pc speakers I go from 100 hz to 17khz.

I'll try it on my genelecs when I get back to the studio and see if I can find any more range.

i can hear about that too...

the sound cuts of at 18Khz on my bose desktop speakers here..

thats prob a limitation of the speakers though...will check out on monitors later too :)

Well my hearing is so good i can hear atoms oscillating.......... damn annoying!

The big thing to check rather than absolute top end would be to see if the tone sounds quieter around the 4k and 5k region.

I'll check it again, but I'm sure I had to turn it down about then cause it started hurting.

yeah...from tone to tone, it was getting random...i had my hand on the volume knob riding it all the way through the high areas....hehe

I couldnt hear above 17kHz on my PC speakers but will need to try with my monitors..

It really does depend on how loud your listening, after 17khz I had to turn the volume up to hear 19khz, 20khz cranked full I could not hear in my room with the computer and heater running. Even in any room it would probably be subliminal to me unless cranking out at some pretty high spl.

I Listened through the Rosetta 200 and Event monitors.
