Is this a Bridged T attenuator?

Here is my understanding of the input attenuation in the 1176 clone..

two special pots, with a special taper (Not Lin or Log etc) wired up in a way to provide attenuation with a constant input impediance and constant output impediance.. (Say 600ohm)

What I'm unsure of, is can any attenuator say as this one

Be wired up for such a task?

Or is this just your standard 600ohm potentiometer?

I asked the seller, and he mentioned that it has 46dB of gain reduction... so can I assume it is a Bridged T attenuator?)

I also don't want to ask on the prodigy forum as quite a few other members are looking for the very same part.

No, that's a dual potentiometer. It can be used as part of a bridged T, but its not one in itself.

it is possible that Mixmasters might sell you one. The original UA 1176 re-issue used them and UA are generally relaxed about selling parts for DIYers etc. Make sure you specify you are after the dual gang input pot. They were around $100 or so
