I have the chance to visit China and HK later this year.
Anyone found a good HK audio shop? China wise I'm pretty much in two places called Nanjing (of the famous pillage rape and plunder) and Changsha, and again if anyone knows of any good contacts. I'm looking for valve mics, FET mics, that sort of stuff.

So do I, Henry, so do I, and its 5 mins away, not in HK! I have about 3 hours there on the right side of Customs before cataching the flight home.
It would be delightful, of course, to find an old HK radio station's junk gear room, stuffed full of unwanted Neves, AWAs, 1176s, useless 70's junk like that. Maybe the old broken Neumann or AKG, obviously not worth repairing.
I'd be content to find a pro audio shop that's open where I can browse for a bit.
