three weeks to homebrew.

well, i should probably give it a couple of weeks at bottle fermentation.

so call it a month?

therefore, the big question is - what next on the REAM calendar?
will it just be the west-side chapter again, or do other folks want in?

i'm not looking to run it - just looking for ideas off others . . .

A suggestion for the theme: Beer and Gear...bring your favorite sample of each....should be held where there is a good playback system.

that's a vote of confidence from 13thbeach, and another from barney.

can't give a date yet - bottling will be sat'day week and then minimum two weeks for bottle maturation.
and i gotta finish off building some preamps . . .

so we're looking at a mid october REAMing in Spotswood, i reckon.

we'll confirm with everyone soon. new faces welcome!

Congrats. Buy gear like crazy, you won't be able/allowed to in 27 weeks time.

Hey Chris,
Congrats mate, and don't get too worried about the gear thing. I have 3 kids and you know what I'm like with gear purchases. THERE IS ALWAYS A WAY!!
Kids are great, I'm pretty sure my nine year old daughter is the only girl in her school who can tell you what a protools system is,
or an 1176 compressor. She even knows which of my mics are ribbons....and how to treat them! hehe!

My kids and my gear.......let me think....there has been a few unhappy meetings....like the time my 4 yr old now 22 used the Senheizer 421 as a hammer......never did get it working again...of course the wife said i should not have left it out in the lounge room....she was right.....then there was the time my little girl "borrowed" the harmony small bodied acoustic guitar for a party they were having next door...her friend sat on it....solid wood isnt as tough as ply.... then there iwas the select book matched fine grain spruce that i had been ageing in my shed since 1978....... .dissapeared didn't it..... and still havent found out what happened to it but me thinks someone wanted to light a fire in the backyard.

Well done Chris (and the missus !) very exciting time for you all coming up!

I'm certainly interested in the REAMING going on but as the dad of a 2yr old and an 8 week old and being as I'm turning 62 (yes I know, but I don't FEEL that old) next birthday and the house needs constant renovation every weekend I guess I'll have to be there in spirit only (puns allowed here) at least until sometime next year maybe...

Besides, beer gets me drunk...

Well, I've had a week that resembles that Simpsons epidosde where Patty imagines having kids with Hans Moleman (all daft and blind and keep running into each other and knocking themselves out)...which has cleared my decks in an agent orange kind of way, improving my attendance prospects.

Talking of homebrew, I'm keen to bring some homebrew of my own (my little single ended Frankenstein) and see how it compares to your VJ, Chris MFDU.[/list]

As much as I dislike Manly, I dislike the Storm more...... So......

Deep Breath........

Go Manly....!!!!

Maybe the Bulldogs will have a better year next year. Can't get any worse.

Cheers

um....seeing that REAM is "at the moment" based in Spostwood Victoria, I really don't think there will be much discussion about the rugby. It's just not that important down here, even with Melbourne in the finals. ....Sorry fellas.

ok. so our next REAMing.

hows next sunday looking for people?

so that's sunday the 19th. say 1pm > 5pm?

the Pale Ale tastes great (but one blew up last night, so hopefully that isn't the start of something nasty!), and i'll be bottling a Bitter today, so we can chat audio geekery and have a couple of beers.

who's in? i'll PM my address in Spotswood, rather than post it here.

chris.
