In reference to this thread........ http://www.turtlerockmastering.com/foru ... highlight=
The forum (RecordingProject.com) where the "Down Under" critiquing area is hosted has recently undergone some major changes, change of admin, server, etc., consequently, sub-forums that are relatively inactive are being reviewed and considering the infrequent use of the "Down Under" facility, I have been asked if we really want (or need) it to continue.
Comments please.....................

I think it's a very cool thing to have available, but I for one never think to go and check it out. Also, being a home recordist I feel unqualified and unable to contribute much. Most people here have better gear, better ears and more experience than me so I tend to stay quiet.

It would be nice to keep the Down Under download area, but considering the amount songs the TR'ers post, it's probably not worth keeping.
It's a shame we can't keep a small space here for downloads, but I understand that Rick wouldn't have the space on his server..

I would like to see it remain but it's probably not used enough to keep. It would be handy especially for things like having others listen to a mix to hear how the bass etc translates through their system etc or even sharing a project we might be chuffed with.
Might even post one of last fridays live mix / recoding at the risk of being called a wanker, but im happy with it. It's from direct FOH outs into logic and for the mixdown all i did was add a few db of lows shelving from 250 on the stereo buss and on the kick and toms. A bit of stereo buss comp and limiting also
