Wanted - Box for 5.25" disks

Postby Futureman » Wed Nov 19, 2008 8:31 pm

Yep, thats right... I need one or more of those large long plastic boxes that hold 5.25" floppies.

Not the normal smaller boxes that hold 10 or more, but the index style ones that hold 50 or more with the clear top lid.. some of them generally have a lock too.

It's the kinda thing that you might find on the side of the road etc, but as per usual, when you want a old bit of crap, you can't find it.

What for? I need a nice way of storing my disks for my Emulator I & II.

I live in Sydney.

Much regards
Mike

Wow man! I reckon there's a lot of people these days that have never heard of 5.25" disks. Hehehe.

I have the dubious honour of being in the very last year of Computer Science at Uni that had to punch cards. Now they were the days ..........

Wouldn't a box for CD jewel cases work for you? I have some of those old box for floppies, I fill them with CD's.

Not a bad idea... I'll keep my eyes out for something that might work like that..

A floppy in it's sleeve is a few mm wider, and about 10mm higher.. so should be good.

Mike, if you get me some hard cases for CD (in covers) i'll swap you for a proper 5.25 box. I have 1 x small one and 2 x big ones, i'll up load some pics.
