Monster cable has a long and sorry history of this kind of behaviour. I don't get involved in causes but being a small business operator I really feel for these guys.

Yes have been involved in the thread.

The only thing that can really be done is to make as many people aware as possible. Monster Mini golf seem to be using the name legally but Monster Cable have set up a streem of income out of Tradmark trolling legitimate law abiding companies. Most just give in to there extortion but it seems Monster Mini Golf are standing up to them.

How can this be allowed to happen?

One difference between the US and Ozzie legal systems is that in the US, each party largely pays its own litigation costs, whether win or lose. The up side is that you don't risk your house when you sue someone, the downside is that its often cheaper to settle claims, even outrageous ones, rather than go to court. This one feature explains a lot about those examples you hear of US legal actions.
