Rockwool Supplier - Melbourne?

Does anyone know where I will find a supplier of stiff rockwool sheets (at good prices) in Melbourne? Alternatively, maybe someone has some excess they want to get rid of for cheap. I've googled, but the results do my head in. Word of mouth suits me fine!

I'm building some broadband acoustic absorbers - if you can point me in the right direction then great!

If you don't get anywhere with Melb suppliers, you could try FMI insulation in Sydney. I bought my rockwool from them and it came out less than $10 a slab for 80kg/m3. A hefty chunk of that cost was the shipping to melb.

You can get Bradford Soundscreen rockwool from HUTTON INSULATION in Thomastown. From my research when i was building my studio, this is the best value solution you'll find in the country. I got mine at trade prices, but I bought HEAPS!!!

Hey Senad, thanks for this. I was actually looking at Bradford bats online yesterday. Which thickness did you run with in the end? They seem to have 3 products: 1.6 (60mm) , 2.0 (75mm) and 3.0 (115mm) the latter being the thickest and for 'floors and ceilings', but presumably okay for stuffing into panels all the same. They don't list the performance though is the only prob...i.e. no acoustic absorption coefficients at the various frequencies. hmmm?!!

Not very scientific I know, but I used the 75mm soundscreen to make some panels, they work well. Got it at Bunnings, about $50 for a pack of 6.

Yes, the data sheet was hard to find online, i got a look into it from the supplier and 75mm/36kg/m3 which I went with, went down to approx. 100 hz..I cant remember the exact figure, but I didn't care anyway as I built huge bass traps above the false ceiling, corner chunks etc...
They are also great for broadband panels, yes...I paid for mine about $37 a pack of 6, but as I said I got two truck loads...I don't think you can go wrong with this product..
