i have a Ta@#$% 424mkii I think that is the model it was working 6 years ago when I left Cairns but when I got it out the other day it did power up but the tape doesn't move. Is this a simple replace the tape belt thing or does it sound like worse problems. I have kept it in the box so it has been looked after.

Wes Components have all kinds of belts, if you take off the old one for comparison you should be able to easily get a replacement. (If it is the belt that is the problem).
