Where to sell Vinyl LPs

Postby Gian » Tue Jan 27, 2009 7:46 pm

Hi all, I am trying to get rid of my record collection and I would like to sell them.

I have listed a few on ebay at about $5 for 2, but there doesnt seem to be much interest.

I would not like to throw them in the bin, but dont want to necessarily give them away for free.

A lot are classical. I also have boxed sets (not yet listed) of things like strauss and the like.

Does anyone who where I could sell them?

thanks

I would take them all to a second hand record store and try to off load them in one hit. You probably won't get as much per unit, but you will get rid of them quick and still make some dollars.
There are heaps of cool little record shops around Melbourne, I'm sure you would find a few up north.
If you cant be bothered looking, call Yarraville Records in Melbourne. Speak to Danny and I'm sure he'll be interested. Ph: (03) 9689 7027

Have a yard sale! We are doing that and it's a good way to get rid of CDs/Vinyl etc. If you were in Melbourne I'd say bring it around as we are having one this weekend.

I just told you what I had for breakfast.

fair enough.

And just on that note, if anyone has VINYL they want to sell and they are in Melbourne, I'm happy to sell it on behalf of my fellow forum champions at our mini-market/yard sale. No commission, I'm just keen to make it a good day. You will need to deliver them to Fitzroy before Saturday, the sale is on Sunday.

this weather is just plain rude. Lucky Neil Young injected some cool into the atmosphere last night

I tell you what, vinyl would be dripping out of their covers at those crazy temperatures. It gets pretty hot here in Tamworth in Feb, but never like you guys have had in SA and VIC.

True, but luckly the weather on the day of the sale is max 31, so not too bad when you compare it against the 43 that it is right now. Yeah, I've had a record turn into a salad bowl from sitting in the car once...stern lesson.
