It's called Boom Recorder. I'm just about to order it. Location recording made very, very easy.

Lot's of US film sound mixers have been using this for quite some time... lots of good feedback. Most using it double system in conjunction with their choice of portable hard disc recorder.

I don't get it? The audio will probably end up in 'tools for cleaning/processing/mixdown. You need a computer and audio-interface anyway so why not just use LE?
Or buy a stand alone hdd recorder?

The price point alone for 64 tracks of audio with metadata and TC stamp is an immediate winner for me. At approx. $400 aud there's nothing in that price point that competes... except maybe Reaper.

Correction: The audio ends up in the [trash] bin and they get the actors back in for ADR! ;)
