FS JLM PEQ500 EQ

Postby Aearth » Thu Mar 12, 2009 1:45 pm

Up for sale are 2 x JLM PEQ500 EQ modules for the Lunch Box type powered rack. Still thinking of a price, but not under AU$800.
Then the APL Lunch Box 6 slot is going.
Nothing wrong with this stuff the EQ they are awesome, I'm moving to other things. You know me.

I don't understand? It sais you want to sell it for less than $800 in your post but you want to sell it on Ebay starting at $800 and hoping to fetch more? How much do you want to sell it for fullstop?

Ummmm usually TurtleRockers will look after other TurtleRockers but ebay is fair game.

Heathen, I read your comment about that cardboard thing. I don't know what was the problem with that description. I actually understood what you meant by it and I thought cardboard was just a choice of descriptive words.

You have an Ma5, would you consider selling it?

I don't know about that, I've seen some fiddly knobbies on some rack gear eg: AMS Neve 8801 (I think) anyway the channel strip.
I reckon the 500 series is great for someone who is collecting gear a bit at a time or mobile work or just needs the space.

Depends, as Nymo said they can be a pain with cables and the like, I prefer a patchbay, also headroom is usually an issue, not so much as in I need super hot levels I just find once they start being pushed harder they sound a bit lame compared with most of my other 19" rack gear.

Use very conservative levels through them though and they sound ok mostly. Buzz Audio make some pretty good modules and so does JLM, I actually prefer the JLM stuff.

I've mostly bought older German made modules which are giving me way better results.

Oh yeah and the Ma5 sometimes it sounds good to me sometimes not so good, not my type of sound though.

That all happened so quickly - or am I living in slow motion?

I would have bought the lunchbox.

Me too...

On another note, I have to purchase some gear at a broadcasters request so I am reluctantly letting o of one of my MA5's.

See new thread.
