KRK VXT 6 - any users out there?

Postby vanderlae » Thu Mar 19, 2009 3:05 pm

Hi all, on my way back to the car from getting sushi at my local (brown rice, awesome) I happened to pass an audio place I hadn't been to in a while and thought I'd pop in to check out their range of monitors.

I was really impressed with the KRK's, up against mackie and a couple of others of that ilk. The KRK really sounded tight, immediate and very nice to my ears. And I'm pretty sure (now that I've had a chance to check 'em out on the google) they were only the cheaper Rokit6 models. So I'm very keen to hear the VXT6's in the flesh as if the cheaper ones impressed me, I can't wait for my ears to hear VXTs.

I've read good things about them. Maybe you use them or have and kindly have something to say about them?!

Also, anyone know about any deals on them going around at the mo?

Cheers
d

Sorry I haven't heard them.
And as for Sushi - I'm not a fan either.

Maybe you need to demo the monitors.

In all seriousness, I havent used the KRK but I looked at some a while back when looking for monitors.
Seems quite few folk like 'em.
d - what does that stand for?

I have a pair of original V6's. I have to say that while I am used to them they aren't the most accurate in the top end. I found my mixes were waaay too bright in the early days once I did the "car stereo test". I tend to mix a little on the toppy side anyway so having monitors that don't reveal all the high end info is probably not the greatest thing.
