Ok no Chinese/The rest of the World debate here we're going to listen to quality gear. If it ain't quality we'll put it to the boys on the day to see if it's or out.
Personally I'd rather listen to the top shelf stuff.

Also I'm hoping to have the new Mike-E pre/comp (EL9) on the day if it's in the country.

Geez nIC, considering a few of your last posts I'm surprised you'd even lower yourself to mention a Chinese sourced mic.

ok , how on earth did this rumour start ?
chris i simply cannot remember ever doing a session with a studio p mic, never owned one , milkbar had some on demo 8 yars ago but i never tried them.

i did rave up some mxl mics once , the ones i was given were great the subsiquent production models really varied in quality from the same as mine to outright shit.

but studio p ..? nah i deny it again

As I said on the first page............"It could go way back to the old forum format but there was a comment that mildly "surprised" me at the time which is why I remember.........anyways mate, no matter." Even if the old pages are archived somewhere, I doubt that either of us have the time or inclination to go searching so best to leave it as one of life's little mysteries :-)

Forgive my silence fellow turtlerockers, another listening sessions sounds like fun. It is after all APRIL already! Wow, this year is positively flying by.

I will be there unless something comes up which stops me.

I intend to attend, thanks for the invite Nick, I'll try to bring some Coopers

I can't make Anzac weekend. The following seems ok though. I'll harden up my schedule and keep an eye on what date seems best.

Cheers

We'll Do It Later

Postby Aearth » Wed Apr 08, 2009 4:27 pm

Due to lack of feed back I have decided to cancel the up and coming "Listening Session". It takes a fair bit of organizing so I need numbers well in advance.

Thanks everyone maybe some other time, somewhere else.

C'mon guys. nIC very generously offers his premises. It's always a great network and experience with gear you may not have tried. Plus he cooks a mean snag. I would be there nIC but I've got family stuff over Anzac weekend. Any other time.
