Triple JJJ maximum song length?
does anyone know if triple j's 'preferred' maximum song length is 3.30 or 3.45? or are they not that fussy? i always thought they were.

Not so fussy in my experience - the stuff I've sent that has been played has all been over 4 minutes but was targeted at their specialist shows not rotation play.
The 'official' line I've heard repeated again and again is 'great songs' are more important than song lengths for Triple J but other PD / MD types I've talked to generally preference tunes at 3.00 - 3.30 (or less) and Triple J has, to my ears, been pushing towards a more 'commercial' radio format for some time.
Why not listen for an afternoon / grab a playlist and plot the mean song length?

I'd be interested to hear what the consensus is!
