Tube gone microphonic

Postby Chinagraf » Mon Jun 29, 2009 12:37 pm

Hi,
one of the tubes in my old LA2A has gone microphonic. I'm pretty sure it wasn't always like that. Does that mean the tube is on it's way out? The compression still sounds good, just if I tap the case I get a pinging coming out of the monitors. Never had it happen before...

Oh man, it's the creamiest ping you eva heard...much better than those plugin pings. Both 'warmer' and 'punchier'.
