bloo technologies LA2A kit SOLD!

Postby Simon B » Thu Jul 09, 2009 3:44 am

Hi Everyone

I bought an LA2A Kit through prodigy pro a few years ago think I paid $600 us.
I just cant get time for it anytime soon,
has a powdercoated chassis, turret boards, power transformer, sifam metre, instruction manual. I bought the tubes for it and alot more little tidbits
needs input and output transformers, the rest of the stuff it needs is not that exspensive internal components like resistors caps and a few other small bits and peices
there is an opto cell that can is in kit form and needs to be built. I was going to look into trying to get one from UA instead.

I think Headman on the forum has one cant remember he might be able to chime in with what its all about.

$300

That's a great buy for $300.00
You need to get transformers, I got Sowters and they sound beautifully smooth, and someone to build it with valve and high tension experience, but the finished product is a perfect copy of the original La2a.

edit: pity about the blue colour scheme but you do get used to it. The compression is spectacular, it's almost sneaky it's that unobtrusive.

I probably should have added in the original thread.....

because there are Valves involved some electronics experiences is quite essential as valves can kill

here is a thread from prodigy on it.
