Has anyone had any experience with this from Factory Sound in South Melbourne.

The couldn't provide any information on the material it was made from or density nor any charts. Apparently the get it from Joyce Foam Products

Stay away from that stuff..Won't do absolutely anything to improve your acosutics and is expensive comparing to stuff that will actually help a lot. (like rockwool slabs wrapped in some fabric)
Funny how Factorysound says it will "get rid of standing waves" :0))
I bought some "acoustic" foam (more expensive, thicker and better looking than what you linked to) to line my entrance/hallway brick wall, just because I didn't have time to plaster/paint it..That's how "highly" i think (and many others) of its acoustic properties.. Once you start going up into Auralex and similar range of foam you MIGHT start hearing improvement. (don't get me wrog, you will hear the other foam as well, but it won't be an improvement)
IMO, any mineral wool with some rigidity to it, wrapped in some breathable fabric, will outperform any foam...for far less money.

That foam will not, on its own, as presented, stop standing waves, period.

The product being sold by factory sound isn't displayed on the website unfortunatly. It's also unfortunate when a salesperson dosn't know what they are selling and tries to belittle you while admitting as much.

My attention is noe focused more so on Senad's advice.

I have previously brought rockwool fron Pyrotek and coverd it in material with supprisingly good effect. I may try this but maybe make some frames which can be velcrod onto a wall then removed when needed.

Is rockwool still the standard these days?

I do also have Auralex foam panels and Bass Traps from a previous setup which I am sure will come in handy adition.

They are Rockwool. This is what I made my (75mm) panels from, works a treat. Bunnings sell it too, probably cheaper.

Im also looking at making some bass traps. Will the particles from the rockwool do any harm to my lungs? Am I better off going with a polyester insulation? Also what type of fabric is best?

Here is what i did from the advice of another engineer. We bulit up bass traps in the crners of the controll room using alternate layers of the green rock wool, 75 and 100, if my memory's right, with black plastic between each layer and a small timber baton nailed up the wall along the edge of each layer to anchor the plastic, and rock wool. We had two timber louver doors that we placed in each corner over the bass trap to give a good look and finish it off asthetically. A length of nice Indonesian Batik would do just as well depending on you decor.

Bradford's Soundscreen is the stuff I used all over my studio inside the walls and for acoustical treatment in CR and LR. You can see photos of the absorbers on my site..I was paying about $37 for a pack of 6 (2 years ago though) at 580mm width...but I did get 2 truckloads from the same place so the price was considerably lower than usual. The density is either 35 or 37kg/m3 can't remember now off top of my head. But this stuff WORKS!! I have 6 absorbers in my CR, (size of a rockwool slab + the frame around it) and the difference they made is quite astonishing. So $40 for rockwool + at the most $120 for timber and fabric and you have yourself 6, 1350X580 excellent wideband absorbers. It's not just those 6 that treat the whole room, but together with other stuff (corner super chunks, hangers above false ceiling etc..) they do excellent work. Mine are also mounted 100mm from the wall to provide wider band coverage (goes lower in the freq spectrum)
I also have big 2400X1200 mobile baffles in the live room, filled with the same stuff and 5 of those bring the RT60 value from about 1.4s down to about 0.8s or anywhere in between, depending on how you position them.
