I'm not going to get this project done anytime soon... and I'd rather just focus on
the music than be building equipment with my spare time at the moment.
Up for sale I have some of the key components.
10x SID chips. These are new old stock from "Wilba", one of the active contributors
to the Ucapps.de/midibox website and creator of the MB-6582 project. All 10 are
6582 SID chips. Wilba is no longer selling these sids due to lack of supply (they are
20+ years old after all, and he some how managed to source 1000's of the lil' fellas). I
am chasing what they cost me. $25 each (mates rates from wilba, usually they are $30
a pop). So $250 for all 10 shipped within Australia.
1x MB-6582 front and rear panel for the PT-10 case. These are like absolute new. Ordered
from Schaeffer in Europe for the tastey sum of €120 (eeek). They look stunning though. If
you are going to do it... do it right, as they say! I would like $140 for it shipped. A bargin
compared to the original cost.
Paypal is fine, but I'd prefer bank deposit to avoid the fees. I have a good ebay rating (guitarziggy!!)
and am a very honest seller. At present, the SID chips are comfortably in the hands of my Father in
Gerringong, about 2 hours south of Sydney. The faceplates are with me here in London. Shipping
will be handled diligently despite this. My Father lives on a rural property that requires regular trips to
the local P.O Box, so he will ship the chips out registered and insured on my behalf to the buyer. The
face plates I will ship myself here from London, again registered and insured and very well packed.
Like I said, I won't be getting to this project for a very long time otherwise I'd be hanging on to them
because they are some of the more hard to find/expensive components in the MB-6582 project. =)
I have a Wurlitzer 200a sitting at home in Sydney as well... untouched in 18 months. If anyone is
chasing one, let me know. It is in working order, a little shabby on the outside and could do with a
general going through (new grommits, lubing the hammers and whip assemblies, etc) but it's a joy
to play! ...Just another nice piece of kit going neglected while I'm galavanting around the world.

Shame about the MB-6582,
I did a custom job for mine (Laser cut chasis with keyboard and custom layout) and it's a cracker of a synth.. not perfect, but nothing out there sounds like 8 SID chips playing at once.
Regards
Mike

at least a finished midibox is small, and I have parts boxes the bits can live in, until I get around to making it.....

LOL.
Lol!
That would have been too easy. I could deliver it, no-fi!
The SID chips and faceplate are spoken for.
The Wurli has dragged in some interest, but due to my own stupidity
it's sale has been postponed till mid to late October. (Me in London,
it in Sydney... I'd really prefer to pack and ship it personally if that
is the case.)
