Rehearsal/Recording studio...

Hey folks,

My little brother is in a band and wants to knock out a quick and dirty demo. I have the capabilities to record him at home, and have done in the past, but I just don't have the time at the moment due to the day job. I figured the best/most economic thing for them to do would be to practice for a few weeks and then go into a rehearsal space that has the ability to record too. Any suggestions for such a place? The band is Sydney based.

I'm hoping the rehearsal space can provide a PT session or at least the .wavs and then I will mix the tracks.

i get amazing things to master from jeff at zen rehearsals in st peters from time to time
i have no idea how they do it with the gear and space they have
but the quality for something of that price and speed is superb

It's funny you mention Zen, my older brother used to rehearse there some years ago. I'll pass on the info to my little brother.

Thanks Rick. It's PT LE, Mackie 8 Bus, nothing fancy. Good drum room if the drums sound good to start with.

Yeah I agree Zen is pretty good. Also i'll put in a plug for a local studio, John at "Moonlight Studios" brookvale.

my band goes there, great space for rehearsal, Frank and the boys are top top blokes as well :-)
