desperately seeking Sydneysider knowledge about PR

Hi there everyone...

hope this is an okay question to ask, but...

Being from Adelaide, I am not in touch with "the industry" on the Eastern seaboard. I am however thinking of getting someone to represent my album at MIDEM next year. Given that this could be a significant financial commitment for me, I want to get someone good, obviously. Any recommendations?

I hope you note the tact with which I am adding that, given you guys have to work with these people, I am not asking for the dirt on anyone; I would just like some positive suggestions from people you know are good and trustworthy!

I know nothing about PR, but I was thinking....
MIDEM in France right?
Why don't you look for someone to represent you out of London?
Probably more PR to choose from, possibly more experienced at MIDEM, and possibly cheaper than finding someone from Sydney who is planning to travel to the event, or would ask you to pay for them to travel to France.

Good point- hadn't thought of such a logical thing; London seems so far away!
