After looking at it suggests its Australian down in Victoria somewhere possibly Melbourne.
Not too sure he would have wanted all this info plastered on a forum but it was the chance he took by sending it to you.

Hi Guys,
Just thought I should clear this up. Hugh is legit. I bought a few cheap ribbons from him a year or so ago. I got the royer style stereo ribbon knock off. Its a cool mic and is amazing for the little money I paid for it. Ask Barney or Myles about the mods you can do to them. He sells on ebay also. A good guy who knows his microphones (the cheap ones anyway).
So all good here, you can buy with confidence.

Well I can only really comment on the stereo ribbon. Its a great mic as overheads. I'm sure next to the real thing there will be a difference, but in the mix it does its job well. And thats talking stock. Also works a treat as a room mic. I hear the big lollipop ones he has are great also. I'll be looking to get a pair soon I hope.

and great for drums, rooms, m/s, blumlein etc. I've got 2, one with lundahls and one stock. Need plenty of gain but they are lots of fun. I know it sounds weird but in a particular recording of a trombone quartet it dumbfounded us and beat a pair of u87's and a pair of akg c460's.
