Yeah the place is probably infested with em, no there are a few who are ok but not bloody many. Most people I know say the same thing, "bloody kids these days are useless".

Anyway they can say the same thing for all I care, "bloody old farts we gonna have to support em". Have to learn how to support themselves first. Ha!

For every study that proves piracy = lost cd sales, you can find one showing the opposite.

It's cheaper than ever to record at decent quality at home, hardly surprising that muso's, who are often poor, are opting to do it themselves. I've done a few projects where people come and track drums, go home and take their time recording guitars/bass etc and come back to me to do vox and a mix. Also did one where they tracked everything but vox with me then went to a big studio for a few days to do vox and mixing.

The way people are recording now is different, the tools of the trade have become affordable to the masses. We need to adapt or go the way of the Luddites.

There's so may ways to listen to music cheaply these days and I'm talking about piracy, mind you that is probably one of the biggest causes of the recording demise.

the vocal part is....but mark my words, in about 2-3 years, completely synthetical vocals will be the nex in thing.

no one will be recording anything then.

autotune is IN the chain during recording these days, not for correction.

Bots are next years superstars.

Nah, no way. There will always in my lifetime be real performed music recorded using real instruments .........might not be on radio rotation play lists etc but the "bulk of recorded music never has been. Even back in the 70's so called good old days much (or even most of the music that ended up as the classic rock etc was not on high rotation radio land........Dunno what all the fuss is about.
