hey there,
just a simple doubt,
how do you drag regions between tracks without moving them in the timeline in logic?
Cheers

there may be better ways than this ie short cuts or key strokes but i either copy and paste or drag and drop the region. To ensure it doesn't move along the timeline i put the cursor at the beginning of the region and just line it up in the next track, when dragging and dropping. When using copy and paste the copied region will go the the cersor as start in the track you highlight.

In Protools on Mac you should only need to hold down the control key and move the region between tracks with no slip on the timeline. It may be the same for Logic. Give it a try.

i tried a lottta combinations like that, but didnt work, but i found out the easiest way was to right click on the region and lock it on smpte time, now when you drag it on another track, it wont move in time, after you moved it, you can unlock it,
well thats what ive found soo far, still lookin for a simpler way

I think you would already know about it but,the snap function is part of this as you can select snap to beat or bar or other options of various increments along the timeline.

...........It works for me in Logic 8 for audio regions. Drag the region first, then hold down the shift key
