i think the E has the faster attack, not release on the limiter section.
this can always be fiddled with and changed.

Yeah you're right Rob, wasn't looking as I typed...the release is variable, 100, 200, 800 auto. Attack has 2 settings, fast and slow, on the other models it just has an on position.

Hate is a very strong word Rick. Are you sure it's not just "dislike"?
Anyway I'm going back to the sandpit.

I dunno what's wrong with displaying a price, sometimes seeing a price can make me feel like parting with my cash, seeing a POA does nothing for me. Yeah I don't get 1176's either, every time I play with them it sounds like it's busted.

I'm with Heath on the price thing. Seeing a price makes me do sums in my head to see if I can re-mortgage and maybe buy it. POA bores me to tears. I also love 1176's. If you hate any of yours I will pick them up for free and get them out of your hair.

hi Ben, if you used pushbuttons and you have the money, then I think this is a good option: http://hairballaudio.com/shop/index.php ... 74e46456fc

Thanks Nick, I wish I did. This one's rotary. Plenty of pushbutton cases around but I'm just looking for an ol' skanky case for fun.
cheers

Cool Nick. Sounds like a good option for me. I don't have the machining tools or time to make it look ok at the moment. I have a Modutec meter with bezel which I would need to size up for the case.
Please pm me your contact details.

2254's are cool. i have a reissue. meter doesn't tell you squat, and I swear I can hear a difference when you change the metering.
all in all though, in the context of a mix it works well. in solo it sounds like it's not doing much useful but in a mix it really works. kinda like an EMT 257 or PDM156 compressor. Just takes some getting used to the controls.
