The item is not mine and I have no association with the seller. Although I would like the visit Tasmania one day as I heard they have really good fishing spots.

Wow, something pro-audio related that's actually quite interesting for sale in Tas, that's a first.

Apparently yes the fishing is quite good, though if you're fishing for gear I'd say not.

Now, wonder what happened to the rest of this AWA?

Looks similar to the one on this site, from the gear used by the ABC in the 50's - http://www.abctvgorehill.com.au/

Hi guys,
first post and wasnt sure about joining thread and changing topics but am an awa fan and have come accross some interesting gear i would like to know more about. after trawling for a week it seems like you guys know as much as most about all things awa.

first up is a loveley little voltmeter type 3R1772
it says neutralising and voltmeter and has a loop on test leads
it has a common pole and 6v ,12v pole
havnt tested yet needs one wire resoldered
will try and get pics but camera is away from home for easter

with the rest will do a bit more research cause its pretty new to me and dont want to ask wrong questions so early on but i am hoping Rob is still modding big1 and big1a

looking forward to sharing

cheers Geoff

Hi Geoff, welcome.

I recently had my big 1A modded by Rob so the answer would be yes on that.

Pics will help to identify the gear you came across. :)

FWIW, a couple of years ago I bought a beautiful vintage U77 and a D12 from a guy in Hobart.
U77 is an early Neumann U87 and quite rare to find.
