Anyone is allowed an opinion on a forum but as i said this is the for sale section and your opinion was totally negative considering you don't have any background on the deal and was making assumptions! I don't think your comments were fair.
I also don't expect you or anyone to encourage others that this is a good deal, but to discourage when you don't have facts is another story........I'm not taking this personally just think your comments were uncalled for and unfair,
(anyone getting sick or becoming a junky etc. isn't good for any business or themselves).
And just because you lived in Adelaide and don't have faith in running a business there doesn't mean that Adelaide is incapable of having successful studio businesses (or any other businesses for that mater), I certainly have had one for 14+ years.

You're right Mat - $2k for a pair? I seem to recall a 162 going for a fair bit, but you can't link two 160's to make a pair.
Just FYI I have no problem with Adelaide - wouldn't want to have grown up anywhere else and it's my home town. Interestingly enough, I recently met a guy who ran a large(ish) studio at the SA film corp buildings. Bought an Avalon 2055 from him. He's been there 3 years, and is yet to record a local band (or so he told me). All his work comes from interstate/OS.
I'm not saying you can't run a successful business in Adelaide, plenty of people do. I'm saying I wouldn't build a studio there, nor want to own one there especially given Mixmasters exists.
Lighten up Anj, if the right person with $60k does exist, I don't think they'll be swayed by my opinion...

You didn't miss out on much. Just a bunch of old junk. I bet Chris is regretting the $20 outlay already.

hey chris
i dont want to rock the foundations of your world
but i went out especially to get a foot long steak and cheese subway sandwich today ,
and guess what
the local franchise has gone bust - ie shut up shop !
so you better think of a new smarter way to make dream money then a subway house
fast food is frought with peril it seems :)
