hi Jim!!
I would love to restore one of those, I am doing a major restore on my CS-80 this year, an equally big job, and I have a friend up here with another sick Polymoog, so I guess I could do both Moogs at the same time.

Hi there,
Steve..I thought you may say that !
As usual, I don't have the room for something like that in my little workspace...but
it would be nice to use for a couple of weeks, before I sell it to you !!
Cheers

Yep the moog is divide-down but the Poly-800, from what I've gathered is actually "paraphonic", ie it has 8 voices polyphony but only one filter shared by all of these voices. On a standard polysynth like a Jupiter-8 you have 8 voices with 8 separate filters to filter each voice.
...just realised this is the original "Polymoog" which is much more sought after (and has much more/better editiong options) than the more common, later "Polymoog Keyboard", I've heard these original Polymoogs are very rare now not least due to its particularly delicate/unreliable nature. An interesting oddity from the past.
