Level 7 for sale

Postby musikwerks » Tue Mar 23, 2010 8:26 pm

Got an email yesterday notifying me that Level 7 Studios were for sale, lock stock and barrel, under $1 million including the actual property itself, which is the original 301.

Are we just talking about half of level 7 then? Or is it Don's rooms aswell?

Kris - I'm sure you know and remember the other level. The glorious level 8 (was it 8 or 6?). That combo is the orig for me. I did a couple of jobs in there in the early 90's in the SSL room and did more later. That was my first sighting of that beautiful Neve that was in the main tracking room. And what a room! A total shame about not having that around anymore. I think level 8? would have been my pick for my loose million. Anyway good to know. cheers.

Let's do lunch Nick. hohoho! ;0

I was going to put an order for the jetpack (cause the NZdollar is pretty poor at the moment) but the wait list is huge.

The sale includes freehold title of the 3 units currently occupied by L7.

Never been to Level 8... would love to know what became of it.

Oh yes, I had forgotten about that little detail. Turning an SSL off every night is a maintenance nightmare, but not as much as leaving it on to cook....

OK, so the aircon issue has changed, it now has moved to 10:30, so not such an issue. Also, the mastering side is not included, it is the studio section only, so Don is not affected. Could be a pretty cool space indeed....

When did it change Steve? It went off at 6pm each day the whole week I was in there a month ago.

New body corporate, if it hasn't changed yet it will very soon, not sure of the changeover date.
