Can anyone recommend an amp-tech who can have a look at my SS600 head and clean it up. It's working fine, but there's a few little niggles (like the compressor clipping irregularly).
Alternatively, are any of the techs on here keen to have a look. I wasn't sure if the guys that do pre's etc are as happy working on bass amps.
Sydney area would be ideal... it's pretty heavy, even for solid state.

Guess depends on the issue, but I'd recommend to shoot it back to Tim at Labsystems, or at least give him a call to see if he could recommend someone up there. He's a great guy and I'm sure would be more than happy to help.

Tim Evans (the man behind the LabSystems amps) is our go-to tech for amps etc (we use Rob Squire for all of our studio gear).
Both have been an asset to work with and definitely worth sending your amp down to him.
Tim can be contacted at : www.guitaramps.com.au
Based in Edithvale Victoria (melbourne). He can at least point you in the right direction.

Hmm I think Labsystems is still going, but strictly for bass gear now. Tim's working on his new guitar amp project, and releasing his guitar amps into a new brand name (George Evans - http://www.georgeevans.com.au)
